Cancún, Quintana Roo.- La infancia, es uno de los principales rubros que atiende el Sistema DIF municipal, con el objetivo de poder garantizar el bienestar de las niñas y niños benitojuarenses, en línea con programas y estrategias del eje de Justicia Social de la administración que encabeza la Presidente Municipal, Mara Lezama.
La institución encabezada por la directora general, Lorena Solís González, destacó que en beneficio de los menores se fortalecen programas de educación, salud, seguridad, deporte y recreación, para garantizar el acceso a todas estas acciones que contribuyen a su desarrollo integral.
Durante el mes de julio y agosto fueron beneficiados más de 200 menores, con el curso de “Mi Verano DIF”, el cual concluyó el pasado 9 de agosto.
En materia de salud, el sistema DIF repartió 678 mil 195 raciones de desayunos fríos y 146 mil 40, calientes, durante el segundo trimestre de actividades, como parte de la iniciativa para dar asistencia alimentaria a las niñas y niños del municipio.
En materia de educación, la institución entregó 200 becas de estímulo a la educación básica a menores trabajadores o en riesgo de sufrir explotación laboral infantil y se dio atención prescolar en los niveles de Maternal, Kínder I y Kínder II, a través de los 12 CADI con los que cuenta el DIF, y se han ofrecido pláticas a padres de familia.
La dependencia ha fortalecido la actividad deportiva con torneos como el de Pesca Infantil, el cual contó con la participación de 53 niñas y niños; el torneo De la Calle a la Vida y el concurso de Esculturas de Arena, con la participación de 27 menores, entre otras actividades.
Finalmente, el DIF Benito Juárez reportó que con la finalidad de salvaguardar la integridad física de los menores, se atienden de manera puntual los reportes de violencia, a través de la Delegación de la Procuraduría de Protección de Niñas, Niños, Adolescentes y la Familia.
