Niñas, niños y adolescentes indígenas son parte fundamental del mosaico cultural de México. Son portadores de lenguas, usos, costumbres, vestimentas y, sobre todo, visiones del mundo que son únicas en el país y en el mundo

Ciudad de México.- Este 21 de mayo, Día Mundial de la Diversidad Cultural para el Diálogo y el Desarrollo observado por Naciones Unidas, se conmemora el amplio abanico de culturas en el mundo, en especial las originarias como ocurre en nuestra nación. Pero no sólo se trata de recordar la riqueza y valor social propio de la multiculturalidad, incluso con un enfoque específico hacia #NNA.

Y es que en el caso de México, la identidad cultural de niñas, niños y adolescentes indígenas es, en sí misma, uno de sus derechos reconocidos por la “Ley General de los Derechos de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes” (LGDNNA. Art. 63). Dentro de la estructura jurídica del país, esta Ley se articula con otros ordenamientos que preservan las lenguas originarias, enmarcan usos y costumbres y respetan las visiones del mundo de los pueblos indígenas.

A través de un comunicado en el portal de la SEGOB, da a conocer qué #NNA indígenas son sujetos de derecho, por lo que deben y pueden disfrutar libremente de su identidad cultural, hablar su lengua materna sin discriminación y vestir de acuerdo a su comunidad. Las autoridades de los tres órdenes de gobierno en México tienen que garantizar que la Niñez Indígena viva dentro su etnia con libertad y, también, que sus derechos sean respetados por otras comunidades culturales del país.

El respeto a la multiculturalidad, a los derechos de #NNA indígenas, impulsa el cambio social y la no discriminación. Así, ellas y ellos pueden ser portadores de su lengua y visión del mundo. #NNA indígenas son la prueba de que las culturas originarias están vivas y aportan su riqueza al resto de México y del mundo.
