Indio, California.- Los Tucanes de Tijuana se convirtieron este viernes en el primer grupo de género norteño en actuar en Coachella, un festival de la cultura hipster y alternativa que dio esta tarde en Indio, California, una calurosa bienvenida a esta legendaria banda mexicana.
Y es que la agrupación tocó en el escenario principal de Coachella, que abrió hoy sus puertas con una jornada inaugural en la que sobresalen actuaciones como las de Childish Gambino, Janelle Monáe o Rosalía.
Numerosos fans, con aplastante mayoría de latinos, acudieron al recital con banderas mexicanas, camisetas de fútbol del Tri o sombreros charros.
La banda alternó canciones de género norteño, corridos y cumbias e interpretó temas como “El baile del tucanazo”, “La chica sexy”, “El centenario” y su famosísimo “La chona”.
Con “Me gusta vivir de noche”, Los Tucanes de Tijuana lanzaron la recta final de su concierto, pero les faltó tiempo para rematar: su segunda interpretación de “La chona” fue cortada, entre pitos del público, por la organización de Coachella, que desconectó los amplificadores porque los mexicanos se habían pasado del horario previsto.
