Canc\u00fan, Quintana Roo, M\u00e9xico 29 de abril 2022.- El Rally Maya M\u00e9xico est\u00e1 a escasos d\u00edas de arrancar la octava edici\u00f3n, los 110 veh\u00edculos que participar\u00e1n en esta oportunidad de tener el placer de viajar en el tiempo preparan los \u00faltimos detalles para viajar hasta el sureste de la rep\u00fablica mexicana para comenzar a enamorarse de los grandes atractivos que tanto Quintana Roo como Yucat\u00e1n, tienen para compartir con el mundo y hoy continuaremos con ese recorrido por los sitios que ser\u00e1n testigos del museo rodante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uxmal u \u00d3oxm\u00e1al (pronunciado [\u00f3\u02d0\u0283m\u00e1\u02d0l]) es una antigua ciudad maya del periodo cl\u00e1sico. Est\u00e1 localizado en el municipio de Santa Elena en el estado de Yucat\u00e1n, M\u00e9xico. En la actualidad es uno de los m\u00e1s importantes yacimientos arqueol\u00f3gicos de la cultura maya, junto con los de Chich\u00e9n Itz\u00e1 y Tikal. Se ubica en la llamada zona Puuc y es la ciudad m\u00e1s representativa de este estilo arquitect\u00f3nico. Uxmal es considerada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO desde 1996.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se localiza a 62 km al sur de M\u00e9rida, capital del estado de Yucat\u00e1n en M\u00e9xico. Sus edificaciones destacan por su tama\u00f1o y decoraci\u00f3n. Entre ellas, as\u00ed como entre otras ciudades de la zona, hay construidas unas calzadas llamadas sacb\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sus edificios son t\u00edpicamente del estilo Puuc, con muros bajos lisos sobre los que se abren frisos muy ornamentados a base de representaciones de las caba\u00f1as t\u00edpicas mayas, que se representan por columnillas (en representaci\u00f3n de las ca\u00f1as con las que se constru\u00edan las paredes de chozas) y figuras trapezoidales (en representaci\u00f3n de los tejados de paja), serpientes enlazadas y, en muchos casos bic\u00e9falas, mascarones del dios de la lluvia, Chaac con sus grandes narices que representan los rayos de las tormentas, y serpientes emplumadas con las fauces abiertas saliendo de los mismos seres humanos. Tambi\u00e9n se aprecia en algunas ciudades influencias de origen nahua y el seguimiento del culto a Quetzalc\u00f3atl y Tl\u00e1loc que se integraron con las bases originales de la tradici\u00f3n Puuc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las construcciones aprovechan el relieve del terreno para ganar altura y adquieren vol\u00famenes muy importantes, destacan la Pir\u00e1mide del Adivino, con cinco niveles, y el Palacio del Gobernador que ocupa una extensi\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 1.200m\u00b2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Elena<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Elena, es una localidad del estado de Yucat\u00e1n, M\u00e9xico, cabecera del municipio hom\u00f3nimo ubicada aproximadamente 15 kil\u00f3metros al sureste del yacimiento arqueol\u00f3gico de Uxmal y a 110 kil\u00f3metros de la ciudad de M\u00e9rida, capital del estado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hay pruebas arqueol\u00f3gicas de que el sitio donde se ubica el pueblo de Santa Elena fue asiento, antes de la conquista de Yucat\u00e1n, de un poblado ind\u00edgena de maya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poco se sabe, sin embargo, de sus antiguos morados ya que a la llegada de los europeos en el siglo XVI el lugar y la zona hab\u00edan sido abandonados. El sitio fue denominado en la \u00e9poca precolombina Nohcacab y perteneci\u00f3 al cacicazgo de Tutul Xi\u00fa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despu\u00e9s de la conquista se estableci\u00f3 el r\u00e9gimen de las encomiendas y en el a\u00f1o de 1627 se tiene registrada la primera en ese lugar. Despu\u00e9s de la independencia de Yucat\u00e1n Santa Elena pas\u00f3 a formar parte del Partido de Ticul. El pueblo de Santa Elena se erigi\u00f3 como cabecera del municipio hom\u00f3nimo en el a\u00f1o de 1918.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En Santa Elena hay un templo en honor de San Mateo, construido en el siglo XVII. En las cercan\u00edas se pueden apreciar vestigios arqueol\u00f3gicos de la cultura maya precolombina de gran importancia como Uxmal, Kab\u00e1h, Nohpat, Xcoh y Mulchic, correspondiendo todos ellos a la denominada regi\u00f3n Puuc.
Ticul<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ticul\u200b es una ciudad ubicada en el estado mexicano de Yucat\u00e1n, espec\u00edficamente en el municipio hom\u00f3nimo que se encuentra en la Zona Sur Poniente o Regi\u00f3n VIII del mismo estado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tiene una altura promedio de 25 m s. n. m. y se localiza a una distancia de 83 km de la ciudad capital del estado, la ciudad de M\u00e9rida.\u200b La ciudad es conocida como la Perla del Sur y destaca por su producci\u00f3n de calzado para dama y su alfarer\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El sitio en el que hoy se encuentra la ciudad de Ticul perteneci\u00f3 en tiempos prehisp\u00e1nicos al cacicazgo de Tutul Xi\u00fa. No se ha podido determinar la fecha exacta de su fundaci\u00f3n por parte de los espa\u00f1oles, pero en el a\u00f1o de 1549 ya se hab\u00eda establecido una encomienda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Declarada la independencia de Yucat\u00e1n y su posterior anexi\u00f3n al resto de la rep\u00fablica, el entonces pueblo de Ticul pasa a formar parte del Partido de la Sierra Alta, teniendo como cabecera a Tekax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Debido a diversos cambios en la divisi\u00f3n pol\u00edtica de la pen\u00ednsula durante el siglo XIX. Ticul se erige en cabecera del partido de su mismo nombre. En este mismo siglo, adquiere en 1847 el t\u00edtulo de Villa y en 1960 mediante un decreto de la VII legislatura del estado, se a\u00f1ade a la entonces villa de Ticul el apellido del ilustre coronel Alberto Morales por lo que a partir de esa fecha se empez\u00f3 a llamar \u201cTicul de Morales\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pustunich<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pustunich es una localidad ubicada en el estado mexicano de Yucat\u00e1n, en el municipio de Ticul que se encuentra en la zona sur poniente o Regi\u00f3n VIII del mismo estado. Se localiza a una distancia de 86 km de la ciudad capital del estado, la ciudad de M\u00e9rida, a 3 km al sureste de Ticul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El significado de la palabra Pustunich en Idioma maya es piedra encorvada por derivar de los vocablos Pus, jorobado y Tunich, piedra. El sitio en el que hoy se encuentra Pustunich perteneci\u00f3 en tiempos prehisp\u00e1nicos al cacicazgo maya de los Tutul Xi\u00faes.
Declarada la independencia de Yucat\u00e1n y su posterior anexi\u00f3n al resto de la rep\u00fablica, el pueblo de Pustunich form\u00f3 parte del Partido de la Sierra Alta, teniendo como cabecera a Tekax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yotholin<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La localidad de Yothol\u00edn est\u00e1 situada en el Municipio de Ticul (en el Estado de Yucat\u00e1n). Hay poco m\u00e1s de 2,500 habitantes y un porcentaje del 88% de poblaci\u00f3n ind\u00edgena. El pueblo de Yothol\u00edn est\u00e1 situado a 11.2 kil\u00f3metros de Ticul, que es la localidad m\u00e1s poblada del municipio, en direcci\u00f3n Noreste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sus principales atractivos con el que cuenta Yothol\u00edn son: la iglesia de San Juan Buenaventura (Siglo XVIII) con m\u00e1s de 80 a\u00f1os de historia en todos y cada uno de sus muros, las Grutas Yaxnic \u201cCuevas de Cristal\u201d ocupan el primer lugar en Yucat\u00e1n en cuanto a belleza por sus formaciones naturales y el museo comunitario Ya\u00b4ax Nic (que significa hojas muy verdes ca\u00eddas o amontonadas) con la finalidad de preservar la cultura, ya que alberga numerosas piezas antiguas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACERCA DEL RALLY MAYA M\u00c9XICO<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Rally Maya conocido tambi\u00e9n por ser un \u201cmuseo sobre ruedas\u201d entre los amantes de los autos, se quiere mostrar como una oportunidad \u00fanica de conocer la riqueza natural, cultural, gastron\u00f3mica y arqueol\u00f3gica del mundo maya. Durante la competencia m\u00e1s de 100 tripulaciones, procedentes de M\u00e9xico, Europa, Centroam\u00e9rica y Sudam\u00e9rica realizar\u00e1n tr\u00e1nsitos y regularidades, probando la habilidad del piloto y copiloto para mantener con toda precisi\u00f3n las velocidades preestablecidas en un tiempo determinado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para esta competencia los autom\u00f3viles deben tener m\u00e1s de 40 a\u00f1os de antig\u00fcedad y tener un 90 por ciento de originalidad para poder participar dentro de una de las tres categor\u00edas de antig\u00fcedad: veh\u00edculos fabricados de 1915 a 1949 en la categor\u00eda \u201cA\u201d, para la categor\u00eda \u201cB\u201d los autos de 1950 a 1969 y de 1970 a 1980 en la categor\u00eda \u201cC\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uxmal<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uxmal or \u00d3oxm\u00e1al (pronounced [\u00f3\u02d0\u0283m\u00e1\u02d0l]) is an ancient Maya city of the Classic period. It is located in the municipality of Santa Elena in the state of Yucatan, Mexico. It is currently one of the most important archaeological sites of the Mayan culture, along with those of Chich\u00e9n Itz\u00e1 and Tikal. It is located in the Puuc zone and is the most representative city of this architectural style. Uxmal is considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1996.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is located 62 km south of Merida, capital of the state of Yucatan in Mexico. Its buildings stand out for their size and decoration. Among them, as well as among other cities in the area, there are built roads called sacbes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its buildings are typically of the Puuc style, with smooth low walls on which friezes open, highly ornamented with representations of the typical Mayan huts, represented by small columns (representing the reeds with which the walls of the huts were built) and trapezoidal figures (representing the thatched roofs), snakes entwined and, in many cases bicephalous, masks of the god of rain, Chaac with their big noses that represent the thunderbolts of the storms, and feathered snakes with open jaws coming out of the same human beings. Some cities also show influences of Nahua origin and the cult of Quetzalcoatl and Tlaloc that were integrated with the original bases of the Puuc tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The constructions take advantage of the relief of the terrain to gain height and acquire very important volumes, the Pyramid of the Soothsayer, with five levels, and the Governor\u2019s Palace that occupies an extension of more than 1,200m\u00b2 stand out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Elena<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Elena, is a town in the state of Yucatan, Mexico, head of the municipality of the same name located approximately 15 kilometers southeast of the archaeological site of Uxmal and 110 kilometers from the city of Merida, capital of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is archaeological evidence that the site where the town of Santa Elena is located was the seat, before the conquest of Yucatan, of an indigenous Maya settlement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little is known, however, of its ancient dwellings, since the place and the area had been abandoned by the arrival of the Europeans in the 16th century. The site was called Nohcacab in pre-Columbian times and belonged to the Tutul Xi\u00fa chiefdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the conquest, the encomienda regime was established and in 1627 the first encomienda was registered in this place. After the independence of Yucatan, Santa Elena became part of the Partido de Ticul. The town of Santa Elena was established as the head of the municipality of the same name in 1918.
In Santa Elena there is a temple in honor of San Mateo, built in the 17th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearby you can appreciate archaeological vestiges of the pre-Columbian Mayan culture of great importance such as Uxmal, Kab\u00e1h, Nohpat, Xcoh and Mulchic, all of them belonging to the Puuc region.
Ticul<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ticul is a city located in the Mexican state of Yucatan, specifically in the municipality of the same name, which is located in the Zona Sur Poniente or Region VIII of the state of Yucatan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has an average altitude of 25 m a.s.l. and is located at a distance of 83 km from the capital city of the state, the city of Merida. The city is known as the Pearl of the South and stands out for its production of women\u2019s footwear and pottery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meaning of the word Pustunich in the Mayan language is bent stone, derived from the words Pus, humpbacked, and Tunich, stone. The site where Pustunich is located today belonged in pre-Hispanic times to the Mayan chiefdom of the Tutul Xi\u00faes.
Once the independence of Yucatan was declared and its subsequent annexation to the rest of the republic, the town of Pustunich became part of the Partido de la Sierra Alta, with Tekax as its head town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yotholin<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The town of Yotholin is located in the Municipality of Ticul (in the State of Yucatan). There are just over 2,500 inhabitants and 88% of the population is indigenous. The town of Yothol\u00edn is located 11.2 kilometres from Ticul, which is the most populated locality of the municipality, in a northeasterly direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
